track 'n share uses Google maps
technology to show the tracks and photos on satellite images of the world. The
Google maps are visible when importing a new track (in Step 1) and when viewing
a track and adding photos in Step 2. The Google maps can be operated as
follows: Zooming in and out Using the zoom control is slightly less convenient as
you could loose your track out of sight when you zoom. Moving the slider towards the + will zoom in. Moving it towards the -
will zoom out. When there is not satellite image of the requested detail
available, you will see a message like the following instead of images (This
message is in Dutch): This message is related to Google maps functionality
and is not an error of track 'n share. Occasianally, you will
see this image regardless the zoomlevel. When this occurs, try again later and
it should work again. Moving around
The most
convenient way of zooming is to use the mouse scroll wheel. Just position your
mouse on the map and use the scroll wheel. Google maps will take the point on
the map as the centerpoint for the zoom. Alternatively you can double click in
the map. This will zoom in with the point you clicked as the center of zoom. A
last method is to use the zoom control at the top left of the screen, which looks like the following:
To move areound on
the Google maps, click on the map and release the button. This step is to
activate the map. Next, press and hold the left mouse button and move the mouse.
You will see a little hand icon that indicates you are moving the
map.
