Some essential setttings

Before we start, we need to enter a few settings. The settings screen is automatically displayed when you start track 'n share for the first time. You can also find the settings screen by clicking on the "Change your preferences" tab at the top of the screen and then clicking the "Settings" icon. You will see a screen identical to the one below.

You can change any settings you like, but for the tutorial, the settings marked yellow are important. If you want to upload your trip to track-n-share.com, you will need to create an account. If you do not have an account yet, click on the blue link underneath the password. This will take you to the website. Once you have created your account, you can type the email address you registered in email and the password you registered in password. The client will automatically ask you to retype your password.

In order to share videos, you will need to setup a YouTube account. If you do not have one yet, you can create one by pressing the blue link. If you do have one, there are two possiblities to login:

Using your Google Mail account

When you want to use your Google mail account (Gmail) for logging into YouTube, you will need to check the "Login with Google mail account" checkbox. Please provide your Google mail account in the Google mail box and your username in Username. Please note that your username and password are not necessarily identical.

Using your YouTube account

In case you want to use your YouTube account, uncheck the "Login with Google mail account" button. The Google mail box will disappear. Just enter your username and password.

Finishing the settings

Next please change the default setting "All information is public" to "Use public and private information". We will see later why. When you are done, press "Save" and you will be transferred to the main screen. That's it, we are ready to go!
