track 'n share makes use of an open
source initiative GpsBabel. The tool provides support to directly download
tracks from your GPS if you have a Garmin or Magellan
GPS. If you have another brand, please refer to Converting a track file to GPX
1.1. The conversion tool can be used to convert tracks from a large variety
of formats to GPX, the file format that track 'n share
uses. Important! Install the driver before you
download tracks How do I know if my unit uses an USB
connection? The picture shows a USB connection on the left side
and serial port (RS232) connection on the right side. Please refer to you GPS
manual for more information. Obtaining the drivers
If your GPS works with a USB connection, it will
need a driver to communicate with track 'n share. Without a
driver, communication with your GPS might not be possible.

You can get
the latest USB drivers from the Garmin website (http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=591).
Alternatively, you can install Garmin and Magellan drivers from the
CD.
